Hundreds Of Protesters Rally Following 'Justified' Ruling in Redel Jones' Death

LOS ANGELES, Calif.– Hundreds of people rallied outside of the Los Angeles City Hall Tuesday after the city’s police commission ruled that the fatal shooting of  Redel Jones by police officers last year was justified.
According to the commission, an LAPD officer did not violate the department’s deadly force policy when he fatally shot an Jones, a Black woman, in a South L.A. alleyway, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Jones was killed after the LAPD said she came toward an officer while holding a knife. The officers also say that she matched the description of a woman who robbed a nearby pharmacy earlier, which prompted them to pursue her into the alley.
