Alton Sterling’s oldest child, Cameron Sterling, is calling for peaceful protests throughout the country.
The 15-year-old made an emotional plea during a press conference Wednesday, calling his father a “good man,” reports The Huffington Post.
“I want everyone to protest the right way ― protest in peace,” Cameron said. “Not guns, not drugs, not alcohol, not violence.”
Sterling’s father, Alton, was fatally shot by police outside of a convenience store in Baton, Rouge, Louisiana last week. Less than 24 hours later, Philando Castile was shot by an officer and protests soon followed after across the country.
