Mother’s Day 2026 Edition
As we step into May and approach Mother’s Day, I find myself reflecting on the many roles we carry; wife, mother, grandmother (Zsa Zsa for me), partner, caregiver, businesswoman, leader, friend, mentor.
These aren’t just titles. They live in our calendars, our commitments, and our spirits. And if we’re honest, they also live in our stress.
Today’s woman is not simply maintaining, she is reinventing. She is building businesses and legacies, leading in boardrooms while showing up for family, and carving out meaningful moments with those she loves. We move between roles, sometimes within the same hour, with a level of excellence that often looks effortless, but is anything but.
Because behind it all, there is a constant pull:
What we have to do.
What we want to do.
What we should do.
And somewhere in between, we must remember ourselves.
There is a rhythm to this life, but it isn’t always graceful. It requires intention, discipline, and an extraordinary amount of grace to keep going, especially when we are used to being everything for everyone.
That’s why self-care is no longer optional. It is necessary. It isn’t selfish, but it is selfless love. Not the performative kind, but the kind that restores us. The kind that allows us to pause, breathe, and exist without expectation.
And let’s be clear; if it’s not on the calendar, there’s a good chance it won’t happen.
So, this month, I offer a simple question:
Where are you on your own calendar?
Not as an afterthought. Not as a placeholder. But as a priority.
Because while we wear many hats, and wear them well, the woman beneath them deserves care, attention, and grace too.
To every mother, grandmother, and phenomenal woman navigating this beautifully complex life, I see you. I honor you.
And I remind you, as I remind myself:
You don’t have to have it all together. You simply have to keep showing up, with purpose, with presence, and with grace.
