A 24-year-old Chicago man has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his father over the weekend on the city’s South Side. The incident took place in the 11400 block of South Rockwell Street.

Police spokesman Mike Sullivan says Johnson was being treated for injuries in the altercation with his father, which took place before dawn Sunday.

His father, Kenneth Johnson, was stabbed multiple times at his home and died later at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
