Two Chicago men have been charged in connection with the shooting of a 22-year-old man.
Dayvon Freeman , 21, of the 11200 Block of S. Vernon Ave., and Larry Willis, 20, of the 200 Block of E. 120th Place, were arrested on Friday, July 11 for the shooting, police said. The incident occurred on Friday in the 11500 Block of S. Prairie Ave. at about 6:05 pm.
The victim drove himself to Trinity Hospital with a gun shot wound to the foot where he was later treated and released, police said.
Freeman has been charged with 1 felony count of UUW Weapon by Felon/Parole-Possess/Use Firearm Prior, and 1 Issuance of Warrant; and Willis has been charged with 1 felony count of Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm, and 2 Issuances of Warrant.
The men are expected in bond court today.
