The apparent U.S. defeat is likely to spell a more deadly chapter of the war as Trump doubles down with more brutality
With no end in sight for the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and its decades long war on the Palestinian people, protesters will picket the Trump International Hotel and Towers, 401 N. Wabash Avenue, at 6 PM, Tuesday, July 28th — the five month anniversary of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
Most independent analysts agree that the U.S. has failed in its military objectives and lost its war on Iran. The biggest victors in the war are those who oppose a unipolar, U.S.-dominated world.
“U.S. defeat does not spell the end of the bloodshed. Instead, the history of previous conflicts shows it likely will herald an even more deadly chapter of the war,” said Andy Thayer of the Chicago Committee Against War & Racism (CCAWR). “For years after U.S. leaders internally acknowledged defeat in Vietnam, they escalated its brutality. The same with the French in Algeria and the British in Kenya. Only heightened domestic and international pressure on the administration can end the current war.”
