George Zimmerman‘s defense attorney is probing a pool of 40 potential jurors about their views on the concept that a defendant is presumed innocent. Defense attorney Mark O’Mara asked the jury candidates Thursday about their views that a person charged with a crime is innocent until prosecutors prove the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. It was the first chance for Zimmerman’s attorney to question jurors who have made it to the second round of jury selection. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense.
