WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Jason Johnson scored 22 points to lead South Carolina State to an 86-73 victory over Winston-Salem State on Thursday night. Jason Flagler added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (16-13), who were 33 of 58 from the field (56.9 percent), to win their third consecutive game. South Carolina State led 75-70 with 4:07 left in the game before going on an 11-3 run to pull away from the Rams (8-21), who have lost three straight games. The Bulldogs were 9 of 10 from the line in the final 2:26, despite going 14 of 22 for the game (63.6 percent). Jimmy Williams added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Josh Jackson finished with 12 points for South Carolina State.
