A 15-year-old boy was shot at by Chicago police officers Wednesday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood, after the teen allegedly pointed a gun at them, according to police. During a chase between the officers and the teen in the 2100 block of South Millard Avenue, police said the teen raised a gun towards them as he ran. Police responded with gunfire. The boy never fired the weapon. “Shot were fired, there were no hits and the offender is in custody,” Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said, based on preliminary reports. Police arrested the boy and his gun was recovered. No injuries were reported.
