New Edition Catches New Lawsuit From Former Managers

new editionReunions are supposed to be happy occasions, but New Edition’s reunion tour seems to be bringing the opposite.
Rhymeswithsnitch.com reports the group is being sued by their former managers, Benchmark Entertainment, for unpaid fees. Benchmark served as managers for New Edition in 2012 and was responsible for setting up the group’s reunion tour as well as radio interviews and photo shoots.
In addition, Benchmark claims it was fired right before the tour started last month. The managers seek fees in excess of $500,000.
The lawsuit is the latest in a string of ups and downs for New Edition during their latest outing.
Earlier this month, Bobby Brown left the trek for health reasons after he was unable to complete the group’s choreography. However, as we reported, the “My Prerogative” singer’s son, Bobby Brown Jr., has since recovered and is gearing up to rejoin the tour.
