On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Fathers, Families, & Healthy Communities (FFHC) proudly honored 21 fathers who successfully completed its 25-week Fathers United program during a meaningful commencement ceremony celebrating growth, healing, and leadership.
Fathers United, FFHC’s flagship fatherhood initiative, is designed to support fathers through a holistic, cohort-based program that centers parenting, personal development, health and wellness, and economic opportunity.
“What we witnessed was more than a ceremony. It was a reflection of what’s possible when fathers are supported, invested in, and given real opportunities to thrive,” said Clinton Boyd, Jr., Ph.D., Executive Director of FFHC.
Over the course of 25 weeks, participants engaged in consistent, weekly programming focused on accountability, emotional well-being, and leadership development. The program also connects fathers to critical resources including legal support, career pathways, and wellness services.
The ceremony marked not only the completion of the program, but the beginning of a new chapter for these fathers as leaders within their families and their communities.
FFHC proudly partnered with Chicago CRED, whose commitment to non-violence and community-based solutions plays a critical role in supporting fathers on their journey toward stability and leadership.
As conversations around community safety and economic opportunity continue, FFHC emphasizes that investing in fathers is a proven strategy for strengthening families and building safer, healthier communities.
