Activist, resident and artist Thomas Frank of the Southeast Environmental Task Force in conjunction with East Chicago public housing residents will speak at Roosevelt University’s environmental justice forum today.
The forum entitled “Deindustrialization, Reindustrialization and Sustainable Alternatives on Chicago’s Southeast Side” takes place at 4 p.m. in the Sullivan Room at the university campus located at 430 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.
The speakers will provide valuable insight and update the public on the lead crisis happening in Chicago’s very own backyard. Sponsored by the Joseph Loundy Human Rights Project, the event is free and open to the public.
