The Chicagoland All-Star Classic 2019

The Chicagoland All-Star Classic 2019 took place at Wintrust  Arena. The event was sponsored by The Support Group, headed by Tim Hardaway, Sr. and Benny Henry.

There were three games, high school players, local celebrities’ game and the NBA All-Star game. Ticket proceeds fund youth programing including basketball clinics and “lunch with a leader”  throughout the Chicagoland area.

Enjoying the game are Everett Rand of Chicago Football Classics, former NBA player and Chicago legend Mark Aguirre, and Larry Huggins, Chicago Football Classics.

 

Hoops in the Hood

LISC Chicago’s 13th Annual Hoops in the Hood Cross-Town Tournament was held on Columbus Avenue in Grant Park on Saturday, August 17. There were 400 students age 8-19 from 22 neighborhoods across Chicago that participated in the tournament. Sponsors included the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District, State Farm Insurance Company, PepsiCo, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Sky.

 

Mrs. Dorothy White, 23rd National President of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority

The First African-American Business and Professional Women’s Organization founded in 1929 in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. White received her undergrad degree from Jackson State University and M.Ed from National Louis University. She is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.

 

Girl’s Day Out

Girl’s Day Out was held at roof top restaurant at Restoration Hardware, 1300 North Dearborn St., in Chicago. Enjoying five-star food at the luncheon were Dionne Williams, Belvon Davis, Carolyn Palmer, Elyse Levy and Carolyn Curry.
