Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for a deadly arson that claimed the lives of four family members on Chicago’s South Side.

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, at approximately 1:50 a.m., an extra-alarm fire erupted in the 6200 block of South Paulina Street in Chicago. The victims, Reginald WilsonLisa Brown, and their two children, tragically lost their lives in the blaze. Following an extensive investigation, authorities determined that the fire was intentionally set and have classified the incident as an arson.

In an effort to generate new leads, Cook County Crime Stoppers volunteers and Chicago Police Area 1 Detectives will canvass the neighborhood on Wednesday evening near the fire. Detectives and volunteers will be speaking with residents, distributing information about the case, and seeking assistance from anyone who may be able to help identify the person of interest connected to this deadly arson. Authorities believe community members may possess information that could prove critical to the investigation.

Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of UP TO $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible.

“Our volunteers will be working side-by-side with Area 1 Detectives to reach residents in the neighborhood where this tragedy occurred,” said Paul Rutherford, Executive Director of Cook County Crime Stoppers. “Someone knows who is responsible for this crime. We encourage anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously and help bring justice to this family.”

Anyone with information is urged to submit an anonymous tip through Cook County Crime Stoppers. Tipsters will remain anonymous, will not be required to provide their name, and will be assigned a code number to claim a reward if their information leads to an arrest or indictment.
