Singer-actress Coco Jones and NBA star Donovan Mitchell are engaged.

On Friday (July 11), the couple took to social media to announce their engagement, sharing photos and videos from the moment Mitchell got down on one knee.

Jones and Mitchell appeared to get engaged at a tropical resort location lined with palm trees, a lavish pool, and ocean views.

News of the pair’s engagement surprised many fans as Jones and Mitchell have kept the details of their relationship out of the public eye.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a representative for the couple confirmed that Mitchell proposed to Jones while they were on vacation after two years of dating.

“After an amazing season and a sold-out tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on vacation, which turned it into a beautiful engagement,” the rep said. “The couple has been dating for two years and look forward to building a life together.”

Celebrities and athletes shared congratulatory messages for the Cleveland Cavaliers star and “ICU” singer on social media.
