CHICAGO’S OWN DEON COLE (BLACK-ISH | ANGIE TRIBECA) TAKES HOLD OF HOLLYWOOD!

Chicago homeboy Deon Cole hails from the south side. Popular because of his charismatic personality and original style Deon is one of the most visible performers in the comedy scene today. As a standup, he has been featured on the comedy circuit Shaq’s All Star Comedy Jam, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Laffapalooza, and Mash Ups along with his own Comedy Central Presents: Deon Cole.
Deon’s dead-on performance on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien in 2009, prompted Deon an offer as a staff writer for the show and quickly became known for his hilarious appearances as a commentator on the show. In 2010, he was nominated for his first EMMY and Writers Guild Award along with the other writers of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and he was named one of the “Top 10 Comedians to Watch” by VARIETY. In 2011, Deon received his second Emmy Nomination for his work with the writers of CONAN and in 2013 he went on to star in his own show for TBS called, Deon Cole’s Black Box.

If you’re a fan of ABC’s Black-ish you know Deon as the hilarious co-worker “Charlie”, and will soon also be seen as one the lead roles in TBS’s Angie Tribeca created by Steve and Nancy Carell, starring Rashida Jones. Deon will also be seen in the feature film BARBERSHOP 3. Deon has recently guest starred on USA’s Benched, and has been featured on FX’s The League, Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon, as well as the films, Barbershop 1 and 2.
