Chicago Black Restaurant Week Returns

Chicago Black Restaurant Week returns. Founded in 2015 by Chicago Defender Woman of Excellence honoree, Lauran Smith, Chicago Black Restaurant Week is a week-long event designed to celebrate amazing food and beverage businesses, owned by African Americans in the community. Lauran Smith believed African American businesses needed their own week of support to allow everyone to have a chance to taste the goodness in the community.

Chicago Black Restaurant Week is held at various registered African American-owned restaurants throughout the city and suburbs of Chicago. This year, the following restaurants are participating in Chicago Black Restaurant Week are:
