The annual “Blessed 2 Be A Blessing” Toy Drive, event serves as a Networking Social, giving professionals a chance to network while supporting a good cause. Event organizers are asking guests to bring a new toy for a child 5-16 years of age and/or to contribute a donation that will support the purchase of more toys. This year’s event sponsors include SPEAK Hope, Windy City Underground Radio Show, DrinkxXX One Me Inc. and 1604 Designs. The annual event is being held to benefit A New Me Foundation, a non-for-profit that provides comprehensive family services for victims and survivors of domestic violence, including motivational speaking, prevention-education, resource referral and linkage, case management, emergency and transitional family housing, parenting classes, and a variety of support groups. Their purpose is rooted in providing resourceful tools and advocacy for victims and survivors, as well as family units that have been affected by domestic violence.
There will be a special guest, domestic violence survivor and radio personality, Randi Knight of Soul 106.3 Radio. Be one with purpose on this special evening and share the gift of giving this holiday season!
