The Netflix Is A Joke YouTube channel released overnight 27:21 of unfiltered Dave Chappelle.
The YouTube video is part of an upcoming Netflix special called Dave Chappelle & Friends: A Talk with Punchlines. This segment is titled “8:46” is in remembrance of the time it took 4 Minneapolis police officers to murder George Perry Floyd, an African American man, by placing a knee on his neck. In the special Chappelle reflects on the personal significance that the time 8:46 has for him.
The special was filmed Saturday, June 6, in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Shot outside with the audience having their temperature checked upon arrival, wearing masks, and social distancing with their chairs. Chappelle also briefly mentions Azealia Banks, who recently took to social media two weeks ago to say she had an affair with Chappelle.
During the candid monologue, Chappelle, in addition to addressing the Murder of George Floyd and the protests that have been going on in response to his killing. He also speaks on learning about the loss of Kobe Bryant, Laura Ingraham’s issue with LeBron James, among other topics.
This is not the first time Netflix and Dave Chappelle have worked together. Netflix signed Chappelle to a $60 million three-special deal, according to The New York Post. Chappelle’s first two Netflix specials were released in March 2017. He later released two new specials, “Equanimity” and “The Bird Revelation,” in 2018.
