As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, Ald. Howard Brookins and the 21st ward is doing its part to make sure everyone can have a complete meal and a happy Thanksgiving this year. Brookins said, “after 18 years of doing this, it still warms my heart to be able to help others have a complete meal on Thanksgiving day. We are extremely happy to be able to help this year because of all the troubling times we have seen during the pandemic.” The turkeys will be delivered by Walmart, volunteers from the 21st ward and associates from the Chatham Supercenter will help support the event.
Today’s event will take place at the Rehoboth Apostolic Worship Center, 9130-40 S. Vincennes Avenue.
