Trumpet virtuoso Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra return to Orchestra Hall for a flaming jazz session at Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave., March 19 at 8 p.m. VELVET LOUNGE, 67 E. Cermak, (312) 791-9050, will host soprano and tenor saxes Juli Wood, with Harrison Bankhead on bass and Robert Barry on drums Thursday at 8 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m. CLASSICAL/CHORAL/OPERA DR. ROBERT A. HARRIS and African American faculty at Northwestern University conduct the University Chorale in a program entitled “Mass Fest,” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, 50 Arts Circle Drive in Evanston. The progam will include three arrangements of the mass text. AMERICA’S YOUNGEST BAND IN CONCERT is scheduled to perform Saturday at 11 a.m. at Whole Foods Market, 1550 N. Kingsbury St. The band consists of musicians from 5 to 8 years old. CHICAGO OPERA THEATER, at 70 E. Lake St., is producing Rossini’s “Moses in Egypt” April 17 through May 16 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park.
