Toi L. Salter

Toi Salter is a recognized leader in the field of financial and business management. As CEO and Founder of Salter Financial Management LLC, she manages and oversees the day-to-day and long-term financial &business affairs for professional athletes and a media personality. Ms. Salter, a 29-year financial professional, is especially committed to professional athletes after seeing how so many lost their wealth because of improper financial guidance and counsel. Determined not to let this happen on her watch, she landed top picks in the NBA against all odds and incorporated the industry’s most respected wealth institutions and top tier financial professionals as part of her team. This approach has been a winning combination. Raised by a family of entrepreneurs, Toi’s goal was to always employ herself, as that is what she witnessed growing up. The path that led her to where she is today was non-traditional and based on her guts and passion. Her vision and dedication to her vision have produced a lifetime of professional, entrepreneurial and philanthropic success.

Toi is a service driven leader and dedicated to causes that strengthen the African American community.  A long-time champion for youth and higher education, she has generously committed her time to fundraising for organizations across the Chicagoland area. She has raised over $3 million for UNCF Chicago and was featured in UNCF’s annual report under the heading “The Power of One.” She has also chaired the Chicago Urban League’s Golden Fellowship Dinner for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025, breaking records and raising over $7 million. In total, Toi has been instrumental in collectively raising over $12.5 million for organizations she has championed throughout the Chicagoland community.

Amongst her many recognitions, Toi is featured in “Unselfish Women” a coffee table book that highlights over 100 women from across the country that are living life selflessly and making a difference in the lives of others. Toi has also received the Kia Motors and Uptown Magazine “Game Changer” honor, the Black Women’s Expo Phenomenal Women Special Recognition Award, Chicago Defender Women of Excellence Honoree, UNCF’s “Trailblazer” Award,  the 2024 “Citizen of the Year” honor from Omega Psi Phi Iota Chapter, Chicago Urban Leagues Lester H. McKeever Jr. Individual Service Award and was one of four women highlighted in the nationally televised “Women on The Move” series.

Toi holds a B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University, a Master of Accountancy from National University, and an M.S. in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning. She holds the CFP® designation, is a member of The BOW Collective, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She resides in Chicago, Illinois.
