Essence Keys is an award-winning author, speaker, singer, actor, and entrepreneur who grew up on the West Side of Chicago. She is a wife and proud mother of two sons, whose journey through motherhood—including a NICU experience—ignited her passion for empowering women to walk boldly in their purpose. 

She is a #1 Amazon bestselling author of You Got This Mommy, Just Breathe: How to Pivot With Purpose, a faith-centered book inspired in part by the strength and wisdom of her mother. Through her work, Essence encourages mothers to believe in themselves and transform their struggles into strength. Her platform has impacted more than 50,000 mothers globally, and she has shared her message on international stages, including speaking engagements in Dubai. 

She later earned the title of International Mrs. Midwest 2024, using her platform to advocate for confidence, leadership, and maternal health. 

Professionally, Essence is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Operations of Expedient Tax Service, empowering families and entrepreneurs through financial literacy and community-centered service. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Eastern Illinois University.
