Wilbur Wright College to Hold Engineering Idea Competition for First-Year Students

Wilbur Wright College’s renown engineering program will hold an Engineering Idea competition on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the College ( 4300 N Narragansett Avenue in Chicago).

Doors open at 4:00pm and event will be held on the 1st floor in the Engineering Center.

The competition is the culmination of first year students who are in their first semester and in the Engineering Success Seminar, a course that covers three critical dimensions on student success:

  • Professional skills
  • Engineering skills
  • Student skills

About 200 people are expected to attend and 16 student groups are competing for a $5,000 scholarship. The competition will be judged by City Colleges of Chicago industry partners that include Google.

Program

  • 4:30pm   TCP/IP CTA Transfer scholarship award

The scholarship is made possible through CCC foundation, TCP, CTA and Wright Center of Excellence 

  • 4:45pm   Nationally presented and published research showcase and display
  • 5:00pm   Third Engineering Idea Competition ( 16 projects competing for a $5,000 scholarship)
