Westside Man Charged in June Shooting

A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred in June.
Curtis Baker, of theĀ 4200 Block of W. Fillmore St., has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery/discharge a firearm, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Baker was arrested on Aug.11 for a shooting that occurred at about 8:50 a.m. June 23 in theĀ 4900 Block of W. Huron St., police said.Ā Baker was identified as the man who fired multiple shots at a 38-year-old man, striking him, police said. The victimĀ was taken in serious condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds. Baker was charged accordingly, police said.
A bail hearing was scheduled today for Baker.
