Weis visibly angry about boy impersonating officer

An outraged Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis is promising to get to the bottom of how a 14-year-old boy was able to impersonate a police officer and even go on patrol for several hours. At a news conference Thursday, Weis (WEES) also said he’s asked the United States Secret Service to review the department’s procedures. A visibly angry Weis says the department is lucky that the boy just wanted to be a police officer and wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. Weis also says that, when he learned of the incident, it was so unbelievable that he thought it was a joke. Earlier this week, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley demanded accountability from police supervisors who were on duty at the time. The boy has been charged as a juvenile.
