The WayMaker Men’s Summit, held on Sept. 6 and 7 at the iconic Willis Tower in Chicago, was a transformative gathering for Black men that celebrated innovation, community empowerment and the pursuit of social justice.

The event showcased a diverse coalition of leaders, activists and influencers, all united in their commitment to fostering change and uplifting marginalized voices.

The Teen Summit on Day 2 provided a safe and empowering space for the one thousand young men in attendance.

Attendees included prominent figures like Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Jesse Jackson, Sr., Nick Cannon, Kyrie Irving, and authors like Ijeoma Oluo, alongside local entrepreneurs and grassroots organizers.

The conference was not just an assembly of ideas but a vibrant platform for dialogue, featuring inspiring keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops to equip participants with the tools to effect change in their communities.

Grooming services were offered exclusively for all male participants, featuring facials, massages, manicures and haircuts.

A highlight of the conference was the WayMaker Awards, which honored individuals and organizations making significant strides in social justice and community development.

Attendees were energized by powerful messages of resilience and hope, with chants of “We are the change!” and “Together, we rise!” echoing throughout the venue.

The WayMaker Summit was a poignant reminder of the strength found in collaboration and the collective power of communities working towards a brighter future.

As participants left energized and inspired, it was clear that the spirit of unity and determination would continue to drive their efforts long after the conference concluded.
