Vivica Fox Turns 50 on Day of her ‘Sharknado 2’ Premiere

July 30, 2014 will probably end as one of the best days ever for Vivica A. Fox.
Not only is it her 50th birthday, but the actress premieres in what will likely be the biggest TV movie of the season, Syfy’s “Sharknado 2: The Second One.”
She’ll celebrate her birthday on Saturday, Aug. 2, with a star-studded bash at Philippe Chow in Beverly Hills. The guest list includes Tisha Campbell, Star Jones, Queen Latifah, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Patti Labelle, Magic Johnson and Whoopi Goldberg.

But tonight, it’s all about the delightful ridiculousness of “Sharknado 2,” co-starring Vivica as the ex-girlfriend of star Ian Ziering who pops back into his life — just in time to help him deal with the sharks flying around New York City.
While random celebrities get eaten in hilarious fashion throughout the film – including Kelly Osbourne, Perez Hilton and Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa – Vivica channels her inner “Kill Bill” character Vernita “Copperhead” Green to help handle the invasion.
“My first day of filming was like jumping on top of the cabs over sharks, swinging, so it was very physical from the very first day for me,” Fox told us.
