MATTOON, Ill. — Authorities say two 22-year-old men suffered fatal head injuries when they stood up on a double-decker charter bus as it passed under an Interstate 57 overpass. Champaign County Coroner Duane E. Northrup said Justin Sleezer of Yorkville and Cameron Chana of Clarendon Hills died early Sunday at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Police said Sleezer and Chana both stood up Saturday night just before the eastbound bus passed under I57 on Illinois Route 16. Authorities said Chana was a recent graduate of Eastern Illinois University and was signed up for a summer class with the intent to enter graduate school this fall. Sleezer was a friend of Chana’s and had accompanied him on the bus outing to Lake Shelbyville. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
