Three men were shot in two separate incidents this past weekend on the South Side. Charles Merritte, 30, was fatally shot in the head Saturday afternoon near 107th Street and Eggleston Avenue, police said. On Sunday, two men sitting inside a vehicle near South Cicero and South Archer Avenues, by Midway Airport, were shot by a man who came up to the vehicle and opened fire, police said.
