Authorities have charged a third person — a 22-year-old suburban Burbank woman — in the death of a southwest side youth whose body was found severely burned May 2. Alisa Campos was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Alex Arellano and was scheduled for an appearance in bond court Monday. Two Chicago youths, 18-year-old Edgar Silva and 15-year-old Jovanny Martinez, were earlier charged in the murder. Prosecutors say Arellano was accosted by members of the Latin Kings street gang, who attacked him when he refused to give the gang hand signal. The gang members reportedly beat him with baseball bats, struck him with a car and finally shot him in the head. His body was then set on fire and left in a gangway between two buildings.
