The Undercover Brother is all out funny

The Defender had a chance to sit down with the star of the box office hit "Undercover Brother" and the long-running television show "Malcolm and Eddie," and talk to him about his new reality show and a part two to "Undercover Brother."

CD: Tell me about your new reality show, "Going For Broke."

EG: It’s a day in the life with Eddie Griffin. How I deal with two ex-wives, baby momma drama, juggling business and eight kids.

CD: How did your family react to the cameras filming every aspect of their lives?

EG: Well, my momma steals the show. She is too funny. She doesn’t even try. That’s where I get it from. She doesn’t give a damn. She told me I need to get a vasectomy because I am like George Washington: I am the father of our damn nation!

CD: Did she enjoy it?

EG: She enjoyed it for a little while, but we all got tired of it. It starts out cool, but after a while, I didn’t want to see a damn camera.

CD: Has it changed you at all?

EG: It was a good way of seeing another side of myself. I was like wow…I will keep doing that, and I will definitely stop doing that.

CD: When does it premiere?

EG: That is a good question. Give a call to VH1 and ask them. When they tested it, it tested through the roof. It was the highest tested show they ever had.

CD: If it tested like that, I can’t imagine them sitting on it too long.

EG: If they do, I will snatch it back myself. I will walk it over to HBO. Eddie Griffin is butt naked, Fridays at seven o’clock!

CD: What else can we look forward to from you?
