The Chicago Transit Authority launched the “Jeffery Jump” Monday at 71st St. and Jeffery Blvd., with Urban Partnership Bank of South Shore as the backdrop.

The “Jeffery Jump” is a first-of-its-kind bus service that will eliminate up to seven minutes of a transit customer’s commute, from 103rd and Stony Island Ave. to Jefferson and Washington streets downtown.

Among other new features, “Jump” buses are unique in that they will travel down Chicago’s first dedicated bus-only traffic lanes during morning and evening rush hour periods.
