The Clark Sisters to Headline 2024 Chicago Gospel Music Festival with Stellar Lineup

The Clark Sisters, The First Ladies of Gospel Music, will headline the 2024 Chicago Gospel Music Festival.

Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events recently announced that the three-time Grammy Award-winning quartet of Jacky Clark Chisholm, Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark-Terrell, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Karen Clark Sheard will headline the festival, which kicks off Millennium Park’s milestone 20th Anniversary Season.

The Chicago Gospel Fest, taking place on June 1 (4-9 p.m.) on the Jay Pritzker Pavilion stage, will also feature Chicago singer/songwriter Todd Dulaney, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Chandler Moore, and three-time Grammy nominated artist Anita Wilson.

Sonya Blakey, DeAndre Patterson, and VaShawn Mitchell from iHeartMedia Chicago’s Inspiration 1390 will host the festival. It will also highlight rising star Lena Byrd Miles and present Choir Nation in a tribute to Chicago Church Choirs that gets audiences on their feet.

“The Chicago Gospel Music Festival embodies the Soul of Chicago. People from all walks of life come together to be transformed by the power of music,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “Extraordinary talent is gracing the stage this year, and we invite everyone to come down to Millennium Park to witness the joy and community of this musical tradition.”

“The Chicago Gospel Music Festival is an inspirational, family-friendly event and the perfect way to begin Millennium Park’s 20th Anniversary Season,” said DCASE Commissioner Clinée Hedspeth. “Celebrating a musical genre born in our great city more than 80 years ago, the DCASE team has assembled an all-star lineup for this first of many unforgettable events in Millennium Park this summer.”
