Based on the play, creator, showrunner, and executive producer, Katori Hall, season two picks up in the middle of a pandemic in Chucalissa deep in the Mississippi Delta. This season’s ten-episode series finds the dancers, staff, and owners of the “Pynk” struggling and fighting to survive.

“P-Valley” tells the story of the “Pynk,” a small and gritty strip club, and the larger-than-life characters who come through the doors. A surprise hit with audiences, P-Valley debuted in 2020 with record numbers and explores the culture of strip clubs and the complex experiences of sex workers.

The Chicago Defender spoke with the cast of P-Valley and the show’s writer and creator, Katori Hall what fans can expect in season two.

Season two of “P-Valley” debuts Friday, June 3 at 8pm CST on Starz with new episodes airing on Sunday nights.
