DETROIT — The NCAA says Motown’s Temptations will sing the national anthem Monday at the men’s basketball’s national championship game at Ford Field in Detroit.

DETROIT — The NCAA says Motown’s Temptations will sing the national anthem Monday at the men’s basketball’s national championship game at Ford Field in Detroit. The vocal group includes original member Otis Williams. The Grammy winners recorded such hits as "My Girl," ”Ain’t Too Proud to Beg," ”I Wish it Would Rain," ”Get Ready," ”Cloud Nine" and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." NCAA Senior Vice President Greg Shaheen tells The Detroit News it’s "a special treat … for "everyone who traveled to Detroit for this year’s NCAA championship game." The Detroit-born Motown record label is marking its 50th anniversary this year. The NCAA Final Four opens Saturday with Michigan State playing Connecticut and Villanova playing North Carolina.
