Teen shot in arm on way to school

An 8th grade boy suffered a gunshot wound to the arm Monday morning near his North Side school.

An 8th grade boy suffered a gunshot wound to the arm Monday morning near his North Side school. Shortly before 8:30 a.m. as the 15-year-old boy walked to Brennemann Elementary School, he was shot in the arm as he  was stood in front of a store in the 4200 block of North Clarendon. After he was shot the boy ran to the school for help, said Monique Bond, spokesperson for Chicago Public Schools. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good conditions, police said. Police are reviewing surveillance cameras in the area and no arrests have been made.
