*After two days of bitter backlash, Taylor Swift has apologized for starting drama with Nicki Minaj over Twitter on Tuesday.
Swift thought Minaj’s beef with MTV was somehow directed at her after the rapper took issue with the fact that “Anaconda” failed to garner nominations for Video of the Year and in the professional category of Best Choreography. Minaj was also baffled over the complete snub of her and Beyoncé’s song, “Feeling Myself.”
When Minaj tweeted, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” Swift took it as a fired shot against her “Bad Blood” video, which received a nomination for Video of the Year — and is the only video in the category to include a bevy of skinny supermodels.
“@NICKIMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.” Swift tweeted.
Minaj responded by retweeting a fan who wrote, “@taylorswift13 stop using ‘support all girls’ as an excuse to not be critical of racist media that benefits and glorifies you.”
After the blowback Swift received from Minaj and fans, Swift sang a different tune:
After Swift’s apology, Nicki was appreciative and believed all was good.

Katy Perry, who is the lone target of Swift’s song “Bad Blood,” jumped into the fray with a tweet calling out Swift’s hypocrisy.
