Tamar Braxton Says She Owes Sister Toni ‘Nothing’ for Her Success

Tamar Braxton grown tired of being excoriated by her sisters and being denounced as the “mean girl,” so she has contemplating discontinuing on the popular and successful “Braxton Family Values” beyond this season.

According to her interview with Ear Candy Mornings with Renada Romain, Tamar remained, however, ambivalent about associating with the reality show that transformed her from relative obscurity into the arguably the most popular of the Braxton sisters.

“I’ve not quite made up up mind yet,” she said it was something she was “definitely” thinking about. “For me, I don’t want to be depicted as a person that I’m totally not,” Tamar said of her portrayal on the reality show , later adding that she feels she’s being portrayed as an insufferable, callous and mean-spirited woman with her newfound fame.

“I think that now, the [perception] that has been created … is saying that I have a big head or that I’m that diva, or that I don’t owe anything to my sister, Toni Braxton. At the end of the day, she made the Braxton name very famous because she worked her behind off, and I can’t take that away from her,” Tamar Braxton said, quickly saying, however, “but then again, you can’t take away from me that at the end of the day I made a name for myself and that’s OK.”

“I feel like I really work hard for everything I have. No matter if people want to contribute that to Toni’s success, or Vincent’s success, at the end of the day, I have to get up early every day and bust my behind just like everybody else,”

Tamar Braxton has had enough with the accusations that she is ungrateful or dealing with sibling jealousies. So has her husband and manager Vincent “The” Herbert, who has tired of watching his wife “defend herself” at any given moment on TV , and thinks that doing the family show, is “not worth Tamar’s relationship with her sisters.”

“That’s what attracted me to this woman. She loves her family so hard,” he said.

What will happen from here on out? Stay tuned one of music’s most fascinating families.
