Chicago native and actress T’Keyah Crystal Keymah will celebrate her 50th birthday Oct. 13 at St. Sabina Academy to raise funds for the school.
The actress, best known for her roles in “In Living Color,” “That’s So Raven” and “Cosby” will present “An Evening with T’Keyah Crystal Keymah & Friends” at her alma mater. Funds raised will benefit the academy while praising them for their efforts to encourage non-violence in the community.
Keymah grew up in Auburn/Gresham and Englewood.
“I look forward to this great milestone birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my life than in my hometown, performing on one of my very first stages, raising money for my school and community, being a part of the peace process while hanging out with family and friends. What could be better than that?” she asked.
