A 36 year-old Black man from suburban Summit was ordered held on $1 million bond Wednesday after admitting he had engaged in more than 300 sex acts with an underage relative for nearly 10 years.
A 36 year-old Black man from suburban Summit was ordered held on $1 million bond Wednesday after admitting he had engaged in more than 300 sex acts with an underage relative for nearly 10 years. The abuse reportedly started with the minor was 8 years old, according to a written statement on the matter issued by Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s office.
The statement indicates that James Dixon, of the 5400 block of South 73rd Avenue in the southwest suburb, is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual assault.
After initially denying he ever molested the victim Dixon later gave details of his alleged assaults to law enforcement authorities. Dixon alleging told investigators after his April 2 arrest that the assaults began when the victim was just 8 years old, the statement said. His next court date is set is April 22.
