‘Tis the season for giving and for peace, and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger was keeping with the tradition. Stroger hosted a Holiday Peace Fest Giveaway on Friday at the Copernicus Elementary School in Englewood. He distributed free turkeys and toys to Copernicus students and their families, and challenged students to stay in school and choose peace over violence.
