The Chicago Defender is sad to report the passing of Stacy Davis, the son of Congressman Danny K. Davis (IL-7th). According an official statement from Davis’s office, “Stacey had been complaining of high blood pressure and as of now, we do not know the cause of death.”
Last November, the family suffered a tragic loss when, Davis lost his 15-year-old grandson (son of Stacey Davis), Javon Wilson–fatally shot by two other teens who confronted him at his home.
The 73-year-old held the difficult task of delivering the eulogy at his funeral services. Now another hard blow has occurred that no parent wish to bare.
“My family and I appreciate the condolences and expressions of concern which had been expressed.”
