Slaughter to Host Employment Skills Workshop for Local Residents

State Rep. Justin Slaughter, D-Chicago, is partnering with Community Assistance Programs (CAPs) to host a free workshop on job readiness and interviewing skills.

“Helping members of our community find good-paying jobs has always been one of my top priorities,” said Slaughter. “By helping people prepare for job interviews and develop valuable employment skills, we can help expand opportunities for job seekers and ultimately help our community prosper.”

Slaughter’s Employment Skills Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 1234 W. 95th St. Attendees can expect to receive information about local employment opportunities as well as basic job readiness and interviewing skills.

This workshop is part of a series of events that Slaughter is hosting in order to help local residents find jobs and develop employment skills. The workshop is free and open to the public.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to help connect residents to resources in our community and help them create a better future for themselves and their families,” said Slaughter. “I encourage everyone who is unemployed or looking to improve their interviewing skills to attend.”
