The 58-year-old (yah, it’s been a minute since he broke out in the game under Prince) also shocked the audience by jumping off stage with her guitar and performing in the middle of the audience.
Freddie Jackson, another 80’s R&B superstar, wore the crowd of mostly females out with his vintage hits like “Nice and Slow” that remind Gen Xers of the time when rhythm and blues rule urban radio.
Jackson’s fellow “Men of Soul” — Jeffrey Osbourne and Peabo Bryson — belted out the songs that helped produce another generation of music lovers who, by the way, were also in the audience with their parents, uncles, aunts and grandfathers.
