Senate Approves Bruce Heyman As U.S. Ambassador To Canada

The Senate has approved President Barack Obama’s nominee to serve as ambassador to Canada.
The selection of Bruce Heyman was approved by voice vote on Wednesday night.
Heyman is a Chicago investment banker and campaign fundraiser. He has served as managing director for private wealth management at Goldman Sachs. He first joined the investment bank in 1980.
Heyman was also a top fundraiser for Obama’s re-election campaign and served on the campaign’s finance committee.
