Roseland Hospital Gives Back To The Community

Roseland Hospital Chicago Defender

The holiday season is the perfect time to give back to communities that are in need. Roseland Community Hospital, located on the south side of Chicago, gives back with holiday events for the Greater Roseland community. Since 1924, the hospital has strived to provide quality resources to Chicago’s far south side neighborhoods.

During the pandemic, daily operations were a challenge at the hospital. The healthcare team continues to stay at the forefront of medicine, following the CDC recommendations and guidelines. Most of the holiday events are outdoors to make sure everyone is safe. Roseland Community Hospital is partnering with Molina Health Care, Timmy’s Community Connection, Hope x Rope, and NB Love Foundation for two upcoming holiday events.

Chrislin Flanagan, Roseland Community Hospital’s marketing manager, says the hospital strives to bring normalcy back to the community for the holiday season.  “Smiling faces from the children are very near and dear to our hearts. This year, we hosted a coat drive, backpack giveaway, and Trunk or Treat. Having the children come with smiles on their faces, knowing that they have a safe place to have fun and that they have a community hospital that cares about them, that is rewarding for us,” says Flanagan.
