What initially began in London in 2011 has now expanded into the United States with locations in New York, Miami, San Diego, and Los Angeles. The Chicago location in Fulton market debuted in May 2022. The location features adjustable deckchairs that lean back and comes in single lounge seats or seats for two with their adjustable loveseat deckchairs. Moviegoers watch the films with individual wireless headphones on ultramodern LED screens.
The rooftop is beautifully decorated with tropical décor and offers lawn games to enjoy before the show. Guests are encouraged to come early to order food, and drinks and play games before the film begins. It’s a new and more luxurious approach to the typical “dinner and a movie” with the Rooftop Cinema Club offering a food menu and bar with cocktails, beer, wine, and boozy slushies. The club also offers traditional movie snacks such as popcorn and candy.
