Rickey F. Harris has devoted his life’s work to teaching students and building capacity in teachers. He has served as a teacher, dean, assistant principal, consultant, and principal. Rickey has spent over 25 years in parochial, private, and public elementary and secondary schools in Chicago, IL. These include St. Sabina Academy, St. Margaret of Scotland, Wolcott College Prep, The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, and Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, where he currently serves as the proud Principal. His career journey has afforded him the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and impact schools on many different levels.
Rickey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration, and is currently completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. As he continues his journey as a lifelong learner, Rickey Harris’ main objective is to make an impact one child at a time. He brings his experience, passion for education, and desire for growth to school each day.
