Rev. Jesse Jackson: We left Haiti in the dark

Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, and a delegation of two dozen clergy, community activists and policy analysts traveled to Haiti late last month to meet with leaders of the Haitian parliament.

The goal of the trip was to find possible solutions to help aid Haiti, which experienced food riots last month. Above, Jackson and members of his entourage observe the poor sanitation and debris littering the streets of the Caribbean nation. Jackson said that the recent riots over the high cost of food and other essentials, were overlooked by the media.
